Greg Harai

an Information Technology professional turned South Bay restaurateur

After 20 years in the tech industry, Greg’s love of food and wine compelled him to change courses and follow his true passion of hospitality. With a vision to create South Bay’s most unpretentious wine bar, Greg also wanted to create a sense of space for the community. It was here in Old Town Torrance that Greg saw a future home for the concept of Restoration Kitchen & Wine, a much-needed space for locals to linger in the South Bay.

Always experimenting with new dishes and cooking up seasonally-inspired items, Greg also enjoys pairing foods with wines from Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Offering wines by the bottle and the glass, the wine list at Restoration Kitchen & Wine Bar reflects Greg’s love for all wine-growing regions.


Wesley Takiguchi

a self-proclaimed wine enthusiast, who has rarely met a person or wine he didn’t like or appreciate.

Wesley Takiguchi had retired to a life of leisure after 30 years in the aerospace business when his friend, Greg, called on him to help launch a new restaurant called Restoration.

Wesley is a self-proclaimed wine enthusiast, who has rarely met a person or wine he didn’t like or appreciate. In his free time, Wesley has organized and conducted numerous wine tastings for private parties, events, and friends. Greg and Wesley have partnered to create a place for others to enjoy and learn more about wine.
